I got diagnosed with bipolar 2 a while back, and it wasn’t a total shocker because I’ve always had mood swings. But I was low-key scared of what people would think if they found out I was dealing with it and needed meds. My family was kinda on the “let’s pretend it doesn’t exist” train too. So, I DM’d Tooba, and she was super open about her own experiences. She even talked to my parents. I don’t know what kinda magic she worked, but now my family makes sure I take my meds, do regular check-ins with my Doc, and helps me handle this whole thing. Life can still be a rollercoaster, and I sometimes feel like I’m all over the place, but hey, at least I’m not going through it solo. I know a lot of people are, and that sucks.
